Selena Gomez recently made a public display of support for the collaboration between Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace, known as La Vacanza. The singer took to social media to share a picture of herself by the pool, wearing a stylish short A-line dress and a matching torso piece. Gomez captioned the post, “A little Versace/Dua moment.” Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace were quick to comment on the post, expressing their appreciation for Gomez’s support.
Gomez’s stylist, Erin Walsh, also shared another glimpse of Gomez in the outfit, adding to the excitement surrounding the collaboration.
This Versace post from Gomez comes after fans noticed that she briefly unfollowed Dua Lipa on Instagram. However, this occurred on the same day when rumors about her former love interest Zayn Malik, his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, her sister Bella Hadid, and Zendaya were circulating. Interestingly, Gomez started following Lipa again the following day. Currently, Gomez and Lipa are mutually following each other on the platform.
A source close to Gomez clarified that there was no drama behind the brief unfollowing incident. According to the source, “There are absolutely no hard feelings with anyone she unfollowed.”
It’s worth noting that Gomez’s unfollowing incident was separate from Gigi Hadid unfollowing her, while Bella Hadid wasn’t following Gomez in the first place. As for Zendaya, she continues to follow Gomez on Instagram.
Selena Gomez is not the only celebrity who has shown admiration for Dua Lipa’s collaboration with Versace. Bridgerton star Simone Ashley named the collection as one of her fashion inspirations during a speech at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in early June.
“I love Dua Lipa’s collaboration with Donatella [Versace],” Ashley expressed. “It was really inspiring. I don’t have one particular fashion inspiration; it’s a combination of various elements.”
The support from Gomez and other influential figures highlights the impact and appeal of the collaboration between Dua Lipa and Donatella Versace, leaving a lasting impression on the fashion industry.
